trying to get desktop wireless

hello all
i have a slight problem
im with ntl an had a desktop hard wired and my laptop wireless all working.

i have move my desktop to another room an tred making it wireless using a belkin g dongle thing used the disc to install drivers/programe.
double click on the belkin thumb nail an it opens a screen showing available networks,
i have tried to connect to my network using the net id an all that but it wont connect an it runs really slow not showing full window.
is there an easier way to set it up please.

well i tried using the microsoft network wizard thing an i get to see available networks see mine double click on t and it pops up
"windows is unable to connect to the selectd network. the network may no longer b in range pleae refresh list an try connect again"

this is wierd as it shows full signal strength.
any one any ideas pleeeeasse

Re: trying to get desktop wireless

Do a clean install and a pinhole reset on your router and see if that works.

If it will not connect even with your password then its time to bite the bullet and get both machines connected via a clean install.
