20MB speed issue
Hi,
Recently I have noticed that my speed is not what it used to be. I always used to get around 18-19mbps but now after running a number of speedtests over the last few days at various times of day the most i've seen is 14.5mbps. I do most of my downloading when I get home from work say between 6-10pm. Even today I ran a speedtest when I got up around 10am and the speedtest hit 15mbps. Is it possible ive been STM'd? Anyway heres my modem stats: Downstream Lock : Locked Downstream Channel Id : 6 Downstream Frequency : 402750000 Hz Downstream Modulation : QAM256 Downstream Symbol Rate : 5360.537 Ksym/sec Downstream Interleave Depth : taps32Increment4 Downstream Receive Power Level : 4.6 dBmV Downstream SNR : 41.5 dB Upstream Lock : Locked Upstream Channel ID : 3 Upstream Frequency : 34000000 Hz Upstream Modulation : QAM16 Upstream Symbol Rate : 2560 Ksym/sec Upstream transmit Power Level : 46.5 dBmV Upstream Mini-Slot Size : 2 Forgot to say im in belfast - BT14 area Appreciate any help Cheers |

Re: 20MB speed issue
I have been having speed issues with my 20 Meg feed since January and although I have reported 4 times all I get is we will escalate the fault (Network issues)
Today I found out that my UBR is one those that has been on the STM trial and although I have never triggered STM, the service has been awful. If your area is on this list you may have the answer which appears to be that what is intended to improve for the most against the few, breaks the system for everyone:mad: http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html...fficTrial.html |
