Unfair advantage of Ray Quinn in Dancing on Ice

When Dancing on Ice came to our screens, l was under the impression that this show, Was about stars who couldn't ICE SKATE or anything of this nature, which made it more exciting to watch.

Anyone, noticed the unfair advantage that Ray Quinn has, he was a roller skater, so therefore, it would have taken him a couple of days to train and bingo, We have already seen hime score sixes, and win very good praises from the judges, and l bet he wins the contest next week.

I have gone completely off shows like this.:)

In previous years one of them had apparently played ice hockey.

I think the key is that none of them have done any sort of ice dance. The programme is after all a bit of light entiertainment. Surely we are watching as much to see some perform well (and much better than most of use who slip and slide the moment there is a bit of ice on the pavement), and of course gleefully hoping that one of them is going to mess up and go head over heels :D

Wow something I agree with Arthurgray on I never thought I'd see that day ;)

IIRC he has roller skated alot since a young age and also taken alot of ballet lesson's. This easily gave him an unfair advantage on the ice as you could see from week one.

While it is good to watch in regards to the compertition I think its very unfair tbh. Maybe thats why Todd carty got so far. Pure funny factor lol.

Haven't watched it in the last 3 weeks just keep missing it but I do hope to watch the finals.

Wasn't it Fontaine who did ice hockey? Does stink a bit of someone being put in that had a very large advantage over the others but I keep hoping he will fall on his backside mid performance lol. The price they are charging for tour tickets is a bit extreme too.

I think they should introduce a handicap system depending on skating ability. Fellow contestants are allowed to use curling stones to try to knock you off your feet. You don't get any stones for the poorer skaters and plenty for those who are experienced. :D

That would be more entertaining. ;)

Wont argue with you there, myself and Mrs Pierre differ on this subject.

As far as I am concerned shows like this and Strictly are supposed to be about the journey. Taking Z-listers out of their normal routines and turning them into ice-dancers.

Ray Quinn has danced from a very young age and could also skate. So he was already months ahead of anyone else.

For me the real winner should be Donal as he has progressed the furthest, plus Ray Quinn's a sumg little s****.

Tweetiepie, I have to disagree, Shows are this, have constestants like Coleen Nolan, who CANNOT skate, and this is what the show is about, Ray Quinn can skate as it used to rollerskate which is similar, so probabely would not have taken long to train to to the ice bit, He is very smug and l gurrantee, he will win, and it has not started yet.

It is like when he was on The X Factor, the thing was he didn't win.:)

I didn't even realise there was dancing involved - my filter blocks out everything except scantily clad females.

You know, the other day I painted a wall. As I stood back and admired my handiwork I became enthralled as to how it dried in different patterns over the wall due to the evaporative effects of the rooms humidity, temperature and the air movement around the room.

Nah not really, but this is how I would imagine it to be if I were to subject myself to Dancing on Ice. As a matter of fact I think my life would be more complete if I were to paint many walls and watch them dry rather than watch the cesspit of celebrity (insert name of prog here) tv programs that are spewed out on a seemingly unending bout of visual diarrhea.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, not really what the topic is about though, is it?
