How to change between HDMI and RGB output if no pictue displayed
 

Hi I am a newbie to this forum so please be gentle! sorry if this has been asked before.

There is a fault on our V + box where the HDMI output is not working, and engineer is coming out next week to sort. Can someone please run through that engineer mode on the box which allows you to change the output back to RGB . Obviously I can't do it as normal as there is no picture displayed to see the on screen menu. I have rung Virgin who told me to ..

Press Reset

Hold Stop and Play at the same time for 20 secs

Then Output appears on the box display.

I have tried pressing the FF button as directed by the call centre chap but no obvious option for RGb is displayed, any ideas???

If I can't switch back this way, I suppose the alternative would be if someone could list the key presses on the remote to do this switch in the normal way, though if course blind as no picture is displayed.

Any help would be much appreciated

You can't do it on the remote, it needs to be done using the buttons on the front of the box.

The following instructions from Toto should do the job.

Q: I've set my V+ output to HDMI or Component, but I don't have an HDTV and now I can't see any pictures
A: Hold in the Stop and Play/Pause buttons on the front panel, and press Reset. Keep Stop and Play/Pause held in until the display says 'boot'.
After a few seconds the display should say 'outpt'. Press the Fast Forward button several times until the display says 'Sd', then press OK. Wait for the V+ to reboot then you should be back in SCART mode.
