"Magician Ali Bongo, who made numerous appearances on television, has died aged 79 after suffering a stroke.
Bongo - whose real name was William Wallace - also acted as a consultant on programmes including The Paul Daniels Magic Show and Jonathan Creek."

I remember him as an assistant to David Nixon back in the black and white TV days.

He appeared on TV during the 60's-70's and then worked behind the scenes on Ace of Spades and The Paul Daniels Show amongst others.

To be honest I never thought he was that good as a magician.
