Why do I get BBC London news when I live in Devon?

When watching BBC news, when Breakfast is on and they cut to local news, for some reason our upstairs box (standard box) shows BBC London news

Yet the downstairs box (V+ box) shows the correct news for the south west. Is there any way I can set it up to show me the proper news?

If you watch BBC1 (channel 101) you'll get local programmes. If you watch BBC News (channel 601), or BBC1 AD (channel 851) you'll get London.

I find that in my area Ch 101 is BBC1 London, 103 is ITV London. Regional variations are in channels 850 up.

Raise it on the newsgroups then and support will look into it for you.

Crazy thing today my pace stb said 511 Sky Sports 1 but I was watching BBC 1 Wales

when I set the box to standby then switched it back on again the stb showed the correct number for BBC Wales, odd

Thought it was normal, have learnt to live with it now so not really an issue for me.

My earlier post was just an observation, not a complaint.
