Adding symbols to txt messages Nokia 6300
 

Hello!

Does anyone know if there is a quick way of inserting symbols into a text message on a Nokia 6300 phone?

I use predictive text but to keep messages short would like to put "&" and "," quickly as I write my texts.
I seem to have to always go to options then scroll down several menus and then find symbol and insert the symbol I want.

I was wondering if I could map the "&" symbol for example to a key.

Anyone know ?

All I can find is this PDF instructions guide and other people on forums asking similar questions.

If you press the star key it should bring up the symbol menu straight away. Should be the same on all Nokias

Ah yes that seems to work. Pressing the star * key once seems to circle through different words but holding it down takes me straight to the add symbol's screen.

That makes things a little easier.
