Bluetooth Mouse Recommendations
You see, I've got these big hands.....
.....and you know what they say about people with big hands..... .....that's right.....they need a big mouse :D I want a decent mouse to use with my netbook. I've been looking at some of the Bluetooth mice that come with the tiny little Bluetooth dongle and a little pouch to put the mouse in - they look kinda cool, but I can't seem to find any information on how big they are. I have quite bad problems with my hands/wrists already, which is only made worse by prolonged mouse use - this is especially true where the mouse is too small to properly fit in my hand. The reason I'm looking at the Bluetooth ones is that I'd like to try to cut down the amount of nasty cable tangle in my laptop bag. What I'm after is recommendations for a decent sized Bluetooth mouse, preferably one that comes with one of the tiny little dongles and has its own pouch. The one I was looking at earlier is this one, but (as I said) I've got no idea how big it is so I can't really buy it unseen. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Cor...6369031&sr=1-2 Any thoughts/recommendations? |
Re: Bluetooth Mouse Recommendations
if you are getting agro already whilst using a mouse, why not look at a track-ball style device or one of the ones you grip like a joystick and move your whole arm? size doesn't always matter!!!

Re: Bluetooth Mouse Recommendations
Too bulky TBH, don't want to be carrying something like that around with me all the time - they're good for on a desk, but don't tend to be too portable...
Nice idea though, thanks :tu: |

I have seen baby trackballs
Which netbook do you have? What about your mobile? My Sony W901i has HID support |

Re: Bluetooth Mouse Recommendations
Rob,
I heartily recommend the Microsoft Arc - an incredible piece of kit!! http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mo..._arc_tour.html http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-ZJ.../dp/B001D7OHOO |
Re: Bluetooth Mouse Recommendations
That looks nice, might have to see if I can find one of those to have a play with.
I've been having a bit of a look today, the problem I'm having though is that most of the mice I'm looking at are in packaging - although the packaging's designed to let you get your hand on the mouse you can't actually normally hold it as you would when you're using it..... |

Dimensions are: 9.5cm(L) x 6.2cm(W) x 3.5cm(H)
I've uploaded 2 photos, so i hope they give you a good idea of the size. |

That's awesome Snoopz, thanks very much :)

Re: Bluetooth Mouse Recommendations
Ok, the VX is definitely going to be too small for me and I'm not sure that the MS Arc is going to do the job from an ergonomics point of view. The other MS one looks ok, but again is a little small.
The Logitech MX1100 is a nice looking mouse, which would appear to be large enough - the only thing I think it's missing is the storage/protective case. I guess I can do without that though if it means I'm getting a decent mouse. Don't know how long it's going to last getting banged around in my laptop bag though :erm: If anybody has any more ideas/recommendations please keep 'em coming :) |
Re: Bluetooth Mouse Recommendations
I was thinking of buying the MX1100 for my desktop as it has the same free spinning scroll wheel as the VX, it is awesome compared to an MS mouse.

For my Samsung NC10 Netbook I bought this mouse (Labtec Glow)
http://www.labtec.com/index.cfm/gear...,contentid=756 It's the one on the right, the mouse on the left is the MS comfort optical 3000. |
