Shows not on BBC iplayer

Does anybody know why certain shows are on the bbc iplayer online but not on the bbc iplayer on virgin. i am puzzled because it cant be because they can only show it in this country because both only based here, for example you can get Heroes on bbc iplayer inline but not on the virgin media version

VOD rights, or what you are viewing is a trial

If this was the case, wouldn't it affect the web version as well, as that is effectively VOD and actually more widely available than Virgin VOD which has a controlled availability?

I agree with you mr b because if you live abroad you cant watch iplayer online but you can if you live in the uk and cable is only based in the uk so where is the problem and so why dont they show it on VOD

I do nto know the exacts of it but will try sum up the best i know.

Its to do with what is getting made available who owns it how much it costs and where it aloud to be broadcast, weirdly they see the website as only available ot the uk as they use ip filtering whioch isnt really good use a proxy and it bypassed i know, but that what the right owners think. and i think its do with also the amount of space available to them for virign or something like that
