Calling CS

I'm thinking about getting a V+ added to my XL TV, basic phone and BB and am thoroughly confused by the pricing schemes. Do I have to keep my old STB (I have no real need for it) and pay £5 extra a month or do I just pay the £99 install and they take the old box away?

Do all calls to CS go through to script following agents in foreign lands or is there a good time of the day or number to dial to speak to someone a bit more flexible?

I thought it was the full £150 if you didn't keep your existing STB for an extra fiver a month for 12 months

Here is a link for you and it says it costs £99 at present http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html...lus/index.html

Re: Calling CS

It is £99 as long as you keep your existing non V+ STB at £5 a month.

It is £150 if it is just being swapped

As the above linked page says:

Offer also available to existing Virgin TV customers who keep their existing set-top box (at a cost of £5 a month) in addition to their V+ connection

Thanks for the input.

Still slightly confused. That link also shows
"V+ subscription is included with TV Size: XL. There is a £5 a month charge for TV Size: M and TV Size: L. £99 installation offer ends 31st March 2009."
Does that mean that as I'm on XL I don't have to pay the £5 or is that in addition to the £5 for keeping the original box?

Best to call in on either 150 or 0845 454 1111 if not using a Virgin phone

It's in addition. You have to pay for V+ if you're not on XL, additional box or not.

£150 + £5pm for V+ service if swapping standard box

On XL:

Re: Calling CS

Just to update you, I spoke to CS to order a V+, they asked if I wanted to keep the old box or have it taken away, I explained that I had no need for it and it was agreed that the engineer would remove it on the install day. £99 was taken there and then and install date arranged. At no time was an addtional £5 charge mentioned. I have just had my welcome pack which shows, apart from the £99 install charge (£150 - £51 credit) for the V+, the cost for all services has not changed! :-)

Yeap - and they will try to sell you the idea of keeping your std box for £5 month - but try rententions and just tell them you dont want it and save £5 month
