Transparent windows

A couple of days ago my box reset automatically

A bit later I noticed that when I clicked on the info button the page that came on screen was semi transparent instead of black - actually looked really good

Also noticed that the mini guide was the same

Last night it reset again and they now have a solid black background

Anyone know whats going on

I would really like the semi transparent windows back it looked much nicer

Re: Transparent windows

is it the Samsung V box or the Scientific Atlanta V+ that you have?

on the V+ if you go into 'settings' then 'display and audio' you can change the mini guide to white, ermmm somthing similar on the Samsung box i think, just its transparentcy, i can't remember :S

I thought it was a bug, it happens when you watch anything on VOD,

Exactly the same thing happened to me
Maybe they are planning to do it sometime soon with a update?

It does happen on VOD but it's on purpose

Yes, but only for VOD. I don't think it's intentional for the transparency to (sometimes) persist. You might notice that the Home menu, for example, is darker than usual when the bug occurs.

Transparency is definately intentional

It's as a direct result of popular feeback from transparent BBCi menu

And it probably indicates why they're testing on std menus

Nope - it's a bug. It is only supposed to happen on VoD and the BBCi bridge/iPlayer

The normal mini-guide and info pages should not be transparent
