Cable Extension

Is there am extension lead availble for the VM cable lead?
Thinking of moving my TV to the other side of the room but the lead from the wall to TV is not long enough.

Re: Cable Extension

It's just standard coaxial. You can get it from Maplins by the metre. Or any other good electrical retailer.

Ebay is pretty good. I got 20m of Webro WF100 cable from ebay for about £12. WF100 is all copper, so its actually better quality than the steel/aluminium cable that virgin installs.

Re: Cable Extension

I use compression F connectors like these:

But they require a compression tool which can be expensive.

A slightly cheaper solution is to use crimp on connectors with a crimper tool.

or an even cheaper option is to use screw on F connectors..No crimp tool needed..

You can buy this 5mtr kit with the fitting already on.

Re: Cable Extension

That's not a bad price and is a true extension (female connector and male connector on opposite ends

Guys, just remember that the longer you go the more likely you are to attenuate the signals and cause problems...
