V+ continual payments

Hi guys had a V+ box installed in March 2007 before they started charging for them and currently pay £15 per month for the service, I just spoke to someone at #Virgin and they said if I pay £150 now they can stop charging me £15 per month. is this right?
If so I have paid £15 for 22 months now meaning I have paid £330 surely they can't keep charging me or ask me to pay another £150!?!
Is there some one here who could look at my account for me.
Thank you
Ryan

Yes, and you have had a chance since June 2007 to swap to the new payment option

So what happens with the extra STB charge then if you were on £15 pcm for the V+ box and pay the £99 fee?

As the table shows, if you pay the 'instal fee' of £99 and have XL tv then there's no mointhly fee. £5 if you only have size M or L

Plus an extra fiver if you keep a standard box as well the V+.
If you only want an SD box swapped for a V+, they charge you the full £150

I'm also a bit confused and calling CS today hasn't really helped me

I too had a V+ box not long after they were released and already had a 2nd V box in another room.

Therefore I have one V+ and one V box currently for which my bill shows

1 Additional V Box £15
V+ Box £10
Add Set Box(es) Discount -£10

I'm on the XL TV package

I asked today what the upgrade cost would be to replace the V box with a V+ and was told it would cost £150 for install. All my other charges would stay the same

Doesn't sound right to me. Any ideas what I should be paying or is that correct?

Also, if I paid the £99 charge as described on the web site what would my payments change to?

Here is the correct answer from the Virgin Media website:

http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html...rs/v_plus.html

To 'convert' from the old charging for V+ to the current charging will cost you £99. This removes the V+ £10 per month charge but the second box charge of £5 will remain.

People have claimed on this forum and others that this £99 charge can be reduced or even waived if you make a case to Customer Relations aka Retentions that you are a good customer that has paid the £10 per month charge for V+ for a long time.
