Internet connection sharing

Hi,
I have a cable broadband connection. the cable directly connecting on PC. now i want to share this connection to another pc and to work on both machine same time. is there any way to share the connection with simple configuration without using switch router. pls suggest the various ways...

Thanks & regards

Re: Internet connection sharing

Regardless of which OS you use you`ll generally need 2 NIC`s in the main internet connected machine for ICS and although i`ve never used a Windows ICS server i believe you`ll also need a Crossover cable rather than a normal straight through cable if there`s no switch involved.
For Vista

And XP

Welcome to CF btw:)

Thank you sensi:)
Networking is networking on any OS of course but i just have this bad habit of using terms like "mabey, possibly, hopefully" and of course "i believe" whenever i talk of Windows;)
