OK, lets then send it to a third world country that will chop it up on a beach somewhere and probably poison half of the local watersupply...or we'll let a professional company like ABLE do it who have the expertise to restrict any contamination levels and will also give the UK much needed jobs in this economic crisis...

He told the BBC: "The protestors had all the opportunities over the last five years. There was a public inquiry. It's been looked at by all the proper authorities. It's been all sanctioned.

"What we're going to do is what we were going to do in the first place - same methods we've used for years. So I don't see any problem with that."

The Environment Agency says it will ensure the ship is recycled in a safe and environmentally sound manner.

A former French aircraft carrier - rejected by India and Egypt as being too toxic

a job today isn't worth the slow death in the future that comes with asbestosis, just my personal view of course having seen what asbestos can do to the human body..

Rejected by India and Egypt probably for the sole reason that they don't have the facilities to deal with the toxic waste..

If I a) lived in that area, b) needed a job, and c) had the skills that they were looking for, then I would.

If we have the right facilities and the qualified personnel to do this safely then it's a good idea and will give employment to british workers which i fully support.
