Laptop Not Responding Properly

My laptop is not responding properly when I right/left click on something. I have to click 2-3 time for it to work. I've had this problem since yesterday. How can I sort this out?

Thanks

How is the mouse connected to a program, which I might have installed?

The mouse may be responding slower and this could have been caused by anything. What Zing is saying that if you go to the mouse setting in CP and check firstly the double click speed. (do you use the double tap on the touch pad to initiate a left click?) or the button next to the touch pad? if it is the button there may be a problem with the switch itself of if the touchpad the time allowed between taps may be to short and you are taking longer or the sensitivity of the touchpad is to low and not recognising your initial tap.

reinstall the mouse driver. also, check all the settings for the mouse under control panel.

It may be slow in processing the mouse clicks. Check task manager to see if something is hogging your processor.

I have this issue now and again. Only when uses a mouse though, don't seem to have the issue when using the touchpad.

How do I find the touch-pad drives on my laptop to uninstall and re-install it?

Thanks

My laptop takes time to startup now. Takes around 5 minutes (it a new lappy). Before it used to startup within a minute

What should I do to sort this problem out?

Thanks

Most laptops have a touchpad program which can mess with how the touchpad repsonds

as for you slowdown have you run a good cleanup program? ccleaner will be a start
Then run an adaware scan then check msconfig and dtop any programs you do not need running. Finally defrag
