There was a programme when I was a kid called Love Thy Neighbour (one famly white the next door Black). Totally non PR and could never be aired now because of the language. ( Coon, Honky... possibly even the N word ). but in a strange way it actually showed me how ludicrous it is to judge someone by their colour.

The thing is in both Love thy neighbour and Till death do us part those who are really being shown up are the white bigot so there was never really any harm done. I feel the PC way we are meant to be now does more to fuel racial tensions than any program like this

Zinglebarb, there is truth in that. I think what gets certain people's backs up is that everytime you question immigration, you are immediately called a racist, without anybody explaining why. Look at some of the comments comming from the PC brigade about the recent strikes.

Got all the series on the DVD.

Very different times back then, itv have shown it once or twice...at 2-3am and edited a little even at that time!
