Wireless connection setup problems

Hi all

I'm trying to rearrange the house a bit and I need to connect some things wirelessly but I'm not being able to for some reason that's not clear to me.

It's a Dynamode router and I'm trying to connect at least a laptop and a Wii to it wirelessly. Various desktops are currently connected by ethernet cable and work fine.

The wireless network appears as a connection option both in the laptop and the Wii - but when I ask to connect, it tries and eventually times out, with no success. The network stays visible on the options list. This happens regardless of what security settings I choose in the router, even no security at all.

Any suggestions beyond just getting a nw router? The current one is maybe 2 years old, has been working fine for wired connections and I did briefly manage to connect a guest's laptop wirelessly to it about a year ago.

Thanks!

Have you tried another wireless channel? Maybe you now have a conflict in the area?

Worth a shot.....
