high dc voltage?
Hello, just wondering if anybody could help me.
To cut a long story short i signed up with Virgin media about 2 months ago for there 8mb adsl internet. after recieving my router and the activation date passing my internet would not work (no dsl light) etc. I spoke to virgin many times and all they could say is tech where going to look into it and NOTHING else, providing no customer service at all. So after hundreds of phone calls, millions of lies and alot of frustation i decided to ring sky today and go with them on there 16mb package. Anyway after doing this i rang virgin to ask for the mac code and cancel BUT all of a sudden they could tell me what the problem was.. The tech guy said apparently it is a high dc voltage fault? Not quite sure what this is or how it can be fixed does anyone have any ideas? Not to sure about switching to sky now as will they find the same problem, or will it be something at virgins end? I do wonder if virgin are just fobbing my off because they dont want to lose a customer but i dont know? Need to let them know by tomorrow morning so any help would be appreciated. Just want working internet after all this time! Thanks, Luke. |
Re: high dc voltage?
Get Be if you can otherwise go with Sky.
Virgin ADSL is carp from what most reports say and as for the Support, well you already experienced how rubbish that is. |
Re: high dc voltage?
I've never heard of a problem with dc voltage before, but then again I've only had ADSL for a couple of months. This could well be a steaming pile.

Re: high dc voltage?
A high DC fault is a BT line problem, and would affect whatever ISP you chose for ADSl over that line. Virgin should be able to log a fault with BT to have the line checked/repaired.

Re: high dc voltage?
More importantly get onto virgin and demand two months credit for the lack of service you've recieved.
