New Wii, paid for content/games from Old Wii

Having had a Wii of my own and subsequently selling it, the youngest now wants one for Christmas. Question is can I re-download all the paid content/games to the new Wii console or is this prohibited to stop piracy? Is their away of downloading the licenses as there is on Xbox360 nowadays to solve this problem?

I think it's linked to the console, like with 360 content.

You'd prob. be best giving Ninty a ring.
