Intermittent Speed Issues.
Hi all,
For about a week now I have been experiencing intermittent speed problems whilst browsing and downloading. On occasions downloading from microsoft.com (normally a very fast site for downloads, in my experience) has been around dial-up speeds or worse. Browsing is also very laggy on occasions. Would somebody mind taking a look at my power levels to see if there is anything wrong there before I endure the ordeal that is the offshore call centres please? Downstream Status Operational Channel ID 0 Downstream Frequency 331000000 Hz Modulation 256QAM Bit Rate 20480000 bits/sec Power Level 10.0 dBmV Signal to Noise Ratio 39.8 dB Upstream Status Operational Channel ID 1 Upstream Frequency 18800000 Hz Modulation QPSK Bit Rate 768000 bits/sec Power Level 32.5 dBmV FWIW my modem is a Scientific Atlanta 2100. Downstream power seems to fluctuate +/- 0.3dBmV from 9.7dBmV. I'm currently running four downloads from gamefiles.virginmedia.com and getting speeds that occasionally hit 1.8MBps, but are normally around the 300KBps mark. Many thanks, Ed. |
