HELP!!! V+ over DVi Please

Hi everyone, was hoping for a little help.

I have a new V+ box installed and a HD TV from Atec.

The TV only has DVi and no HDMI port, so i purchased a HDMI to DVi cable and installed it all the other night.

When I go to the system setting and tell my V+ box to output via HDMI instead of Component once it switches (and once i switch channels on my TV) I am greeted with this screen.

A very sharp and high quiality image, but only half of it as the image seems to be shifted 30% to the right.

Has anyone eles had this problem, can anybody shed any light onto it.

Any suggestions at all would be very helpful.

It seems your TV doesn't support whatever mode you selected on the V+. What model TV is it?

Hi, thanks for the response.

My TV is a 32 inch - AV320PD from ATEC.

It supports 720p.
I have tried the box in both 720, and 720 wide, the image is pretty much the same on both settings.

I have also tried it on the 1080 settings but thats no good as you would expect.

The website doesnt actually state HDCP support but says its HD Ready, and unfortunatley the manual was thrown away a while ago, but other forum discusing the TV do confirm that it is HDCP compatable. Also, when selecting content from On Demand that would normal come up and stop you saying "HDMI Required" it does actually allow you to view it indicating that its not a HDCP problem.

any one any idea's, anyone thing it could be that cable.

Can you double check that model number? According to the manual here the AV320PD has an HDMI socket, not DVI, and supports both 720p and 1080i.

If it was an HDCP problem, you'd be able to see the menus ok, but not the video, so I think you can rule that out.

Yeh, It is actually the same model number.
When i did research on this the other week I came accross alot of forums (mainly dutch) that confused the two, and confused me even more.

It appears in some EU regions they shipped a DVI version and in some a HDMI version, but apparently supposed to be identical apart from that.

Looking at the diagrams in the manual they back panel is actually identical apart from where the HMDI port is there is a DVI port on mine.

Thats what I though. as a HDCP wouldnt stop normal programs displaying correctly either.
