V+ Not recording the whole program
 

I have had this happen quite a few times, I will set up something to record either using the series or a one off recording and at times the last couple of minutes are cut off from the recording, is this just the schedules running over or is this an issue with the V+ box as I thought it was supposed to record the whole program plus extra at the end. Can someone confirm before I call VM. Thanks in advance

Have you tried going into the recording options and adding the extra 5 minutes at the begining and end of the recording?

Not 100% sure from memory exactly where it is, and Mrs N has control of the tv at the mo so cant do a quick walkthrough!

Hmmm. I have an extra 5 minutes at the beginning and 10 at the end... somehow a 1 hour program records for 1 hour exactly..... where did the other 15 minutes go??

That's right. Press V+ button (or TV drive) V+ extras, then extend recordings.

Sometimes the padding fails. Known problem.

I always find that the first tuner will take the padding, but if you use the second one at the same time it doesn't?

I haven't noticed that but I'll keep an eye for it. (Makes mental note to use first tuner for football and second tuner for Corrie/Eastenders etc) ;)
