Virgin Cable and eMule Ports
Hi, I have the bog standard Virgin cable modem and wanted to know how I can open ports / setup port forwarding for emule?
Before switching to Virgin I had normal DSL and a router so I'm familier with doing this but how do you do this with the Virgin cable modem? As far as I'm aware I have no login to access the modem!! Many thanks in advance |
Re: Virgin Cable and eMule Ports
All the ports are already open on a cable modem.... The only thing stopping them will be either your router if you have one or your firewall again if you have one..

Re: Virgin Cable and eMule Ports
low id could mmean that you have very little to upload on emule, remember its a file sharing program and relys on you uploading at the same time as downloading. If u dont have much to share then your id willl be low.
Also, check the notifications in thhe emule servers tab, it will tell you if a particular port is unreachable |
Re: Virgin Cable and eMule Ports
Low ID is nothing to do with how much you're sharing. Turn Windows firewall back on then add the e-mule ports ( http://www.emule-project.net/home/fi...74438622_1.jpg ) as exceptions.
