V+ installation? really?
Hey guys,
New here, i would like to say i found this site out of interest, sadly its in despiration! This evening VM arrived to install my V+ box ready for some great HD TV. Having made the nice gent a coffee and a brief lesson in using it he left and i sat down to play. To my utter amasement i find in the back of my new HD VM box and in my new HD TV, VM have used a SCART as a connection!! HORROR! Now call me stupid, but if i order a new Merc i wouldnt have a Scoda engine so why use the SCART???? I follow the instructions online to connect MY HDMI lead but no joy. So i call VM, VM in India, they say i need VM HDMI leads which will arrive in 7/10 days....... well thank you VM!!! Anyone shed some light on this MAD MAD situation? |
Re: V+ installation? really?
VM connect the SCART up because it works out of the box. To enable HDMI requires the box actually viewable and changing some setting in the options. It's a mystery why the box is designed this way...

Re: V+ installation? really?
goto settings then option 3 i think then select hdmi then press the text button on the remote to store, any hdmi lead will work.

My installer was quite happy to use my HDMI lead when he installed our V+ box. Have you tried what is outlined here Quote:

Probably not for you, but hopefully it's clearer for new users. The old one left a lot to be desired.
