BT worrying letters
BT Broadband are sending letters to those who have migrated to another
ISP. You'd be forgiven for thinking that it's to scare you not to move :) Quote:

Re: BT worrying letters
Surely you can still use the line for phone calls if you don't switch your phone to cable?

Good. Let them cancel people telephone line, people are being driven away from BT for a number of reasons, now they are getting rid of customers because they dont want their broadband.
Their loss. |
Re: BT worrying letters
Is this not aimed at people who had a second incoming phoneline installed purely for BT broadband.

Re: BT worrying letters
So I have a BT line - just for my virgin adsl and I have unlimited calls via virgin on it.
Am I supposed to be worried or what? |

I think the letter is for someone who had a BT line and was using BT as an ISP. who then migrated to another ISP using the same BT line. it's supposed to mean that your connection used for BT broadband has been cancelled. (which you know, and this is just a confirmation of that) but it's worded almost as if it's to scare you into changing your mind as it sounds like the line (both voice and broadband) is being disconnected by BT for you changing ISP. |
Re: BT worrying letters
BT were caught doing this in 2005 and were stopped from doing it. I'm surprised they have been allowed to use these sort of scare tactics again.
