MTU Settings?

Morning :)

Got a very annoying problem. Here's my setup

Virgin Media Cable Modem > MSI Router (Wireless) > PC (Wireless)
> Laptop (Wireless)
> XBOX 360 (Cable)

Both the PC and the Laptop work fine, the XBOX 360 can get an IP Address and DNS but fails on a MTU Setting.

Microsoft say I need to set the MTU setting on my router but there is no option to set this higher. The only way I can use the MTU setting is if I change to PPPOE.

Any advice on how I solve this pickle? :D

I'm at work this morning so will be trying any ideas once I get home :)

It was last night I was trying it, I did a few searches on google and it seems a common problem

Hi, try connecting your xbox directly to your Virgin cable modem and run the test again if it fails on mtu then you need to get Virgin to replace your Virgin modem if it passes then you have a problem with your MSI router if the xbox is wired to it that is. Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU). MTU is a setting on the router or the gateway that can affect network performance. Xbox LIVE requires a minimum MTU setting of 1364. Hope that helps.

Also it doesn't matter if xbox live is down or not the MTU test is an internal test on your router/gateway not xbox live.
