Will they care?
When virgin put our BB install in, they ran the cable from outside into the living room, and then through a wall into the porch ( we wanted it in the living room! ). Now that we are moving a few things around, we NEED the modem & router in the living room. My question is will they care if we just pulled the cable back through the wall, and coiled the slack?
I phoned them up and the lady on the other end didnt seem to understand at all - she was just reading a pre-defined response. Any advice on this one would be greatly appreciated. |
Re: Will they care?
Hello, well realy moving the box your self and it gets damaged the Virgin would proberly charge you to fix or repalce it.
What I did was install a longer cable from the box to my modem and then connected modem to PC. The cable and connections can be bought to your required cable length and you can buy the connectors. Or you can buy a premade longer cable. The option is yours. However I would rather buy the cable than to maybe accidently break the box and have to pay a higher charge for the fix. Its ok my phone socket is acctualy fitted behind a kitchin base unit.Yes I some how managed to plug my phone in. |
Re: Will they care?
There is no chance of any kit getting damaged, as its just pulling the cable back through and plugging it in on the other side. But will they charge me for modifying their install?

Re: Will they care?
Wel no just dont tell them.
If it comes to that issue I would lie and say it fell off the wall.:) |
Re: Will they care?
you will get charged, only if you c*ck it up, and have to call a tech out to repair what you've done.
