Netgear Cable Routers
Just got a new netger n router WNR834Bv2 to replace the one virgin gave me. the one virgin gave me got about 80-85% connection on ps3, wireless n got 60%, pc got very good with old one, now good on new one.
and n is supposed to mean increased range? |
Re: Netgear Cable Routers
But if your PS3 only has a "g" standard card, then your wireless will be getting throttled to that level.
Might be worth fiddling with the channels in use to see if there is a clearer one with less interference from others nearby? |

Yeh but that has nothing to do with the signal strength, that has to do with the wireless connection speed. ---------- Post added at 17:00 ---------- Previous post was at 16:59 ---------- Thanks for the reply though! :) |
Re: Netgear Cable Routers
i could be wrong but if your connection is 100% strength and your wireless card/adapter is set to auto connection speeds it could be automatically dropping down speeds when its not 100% strength
the 802.11n draft wireless as said wont work with your PS3. I guess it may increase your range, i suppose its a matter of suck and see. |
