Cable modem query
Had NTL out last week and engineer brought 256 cable modem, can anyone explain what the event log is telling me? Seems to want to upgrade but cannot.

Most likely it's for another modem - upgrades are broadcast and the appropriate modems install them.

256's seem to like to do this often been advised ignore it wont do any harm to your service

Be careful of reading modem logs, because what happens when you reboot your modem is that every single update for that modem is received at the same time giving you those worrying logs.
My modem is a Motorola and if I look in my logs I will find some with the Date stamp of 1970 and we did not have broadband then. |
