Using registration CD on a new PC
I have a new computer using Windows Vista Home Premium, I cannot get my Telewest Broadband disc to load up on it to enable my cable Broadband to set up.
Has anyone any answers to enable this. Thank you. |
Re: Pintree
have you registered the modem on a different computer? if so just plug it in using ethernet and reboot the modem.

:welcome: to the forums.
As David says, you don't need the registration disc if you have set up before at your property on a different computer. Switch off modem. Plug into new computer, switch on modem and you should be fine. |
Re: Using registration CD on a new PC

USB will not work with Vista as you are unable to get the drivers off the CD due to the compatibility issues. |

Pintree
Thank you all for your informative answers. |
Re: Using registration CD on a new PC
Forget the disc, and definitely don't use the USB method. I forget the URI for the auto registration page without the disc, but someone here should know it by heart.

The new page is http://act2.virginmedia.com/ for both EX-NTL and EX-Telewest customers, if you try to use the installation disk you will be redirected here. |
