Ethernet or adaptor

Recently my wireless adapter for my router stopped working, and i am wondering whether the cheaper option of a Ethernet cable would be better than an adapter
can someone help?

Re: Ethernet or adaptor

I've been using a "hard wired" Ethernet connection for ages and had absolutely no problem with it. In addition, LAN cards are dirt cheap to buy (around £4:00).:erm:

Cheap option I'd say. ;)

Re: Ethernet or adaptor

A hard-wired connection is always more secure and slightly faster. If it's convenient to run a cable I'd always recommend that as the best option.

Re: Ethernet or adaptor

I always try to avoid wireless connections, find them too unreliable at times. These days there's load more options than just standard ethernet cables, such as UTP Networking or POF Networking.
Both these options are more discreet than standard "off the shelf ethernet cable" but just as reliable. :)
