Adding a PS3 to my home network
Hi all
Just wondering what i need to buy and how to set up adding my sons PS3 to my current PC wireless network. I have a Netgear DG 834 wirless Router supplied by VM, with a Belkin G wireless card, already working on with my PC, It can be connected by ethernet but i don't want wires trailing through to his room. Plus I want the added bonus of when we are in bed, he can't sneak it on at 4 in the morning hahahaha. What I need to know is what are the types of wireless adpater I need for the PS3 and how to configure it so the PS3 can log on for online gaming. I'm a complete noob when it comes to the wireless side of things. Regards Smee |

You don't need to buy anything - the PS3 has wireless connectivity built-in :)

Re: Adding a PS3 to my home network
Right my sons ps3 does find my wireless network quite easily, but won't connect to is for some reason.
I am putting in the correct WPA Key and the router and ps3 pick it up as WPA2-PSK security enabled. It will connect 1st time automatic with an ethernet cable, but that for some reason knocks my PC wireless connection off :( so can't use both at the same time. Can't figure out why, when it comes to the test wireless connection it fails every time. |
Re: Adding a PS3 to my home network
Make sure the firmware is uptodate on the ps3.
