Wireless controller battery
 

The other night I was playing GTA:IV and the battery in the controller died.

I plugged in the charge and play USB lead.

While playing the game about half an hour later it froze and I had to reset the box, but it stopped charging.

Is there away to charge this using this cable other than the xbox or using the optional battery only charger.

Since it's USB, you could plug it into the PC and let it charge. Or do you mean whilst your playing it?

Ideal the PC but I've had problems with the red light not coming on.

I noticed that it doesnt show the red light when the xbox is on. Though i was able to play games...
