Recommend new n cable router?
Is there anyone out there who has found improved wireless speeds with one of the new generation routers? I get 15-19 Mb/s when I wire up via ethernet, but only 3 or 4 via wireless (Belkin G Plus) two rooms away. I use wireless much more and would like perhaps 10Mb/s plus if I'm going to change.

Re: Recommend new n cable router?
I picked up an SMC router from PC World and at £70 not a bad buy (SMCWBR14S-N2).
Works great until you try bittorrent and it falls over, not sure why just seems heavy traffic disagrees with it. |

you are not being realy fair. compairing a poor old G router with a N mimo router. The G router first of all has one radio chipset that feeds one or two antenna's the mimo router has two radio chipsets that feeds three antenna's if you want to compare then compare a N netgear router with a belkin N router to see if the range is realy that different. as both devices Netgear and Belkin have the same chipset and two radio's and three antenna outputs. |

Awwww Graham!... well to be fair it came with a USB N adapter too :o) so seemed like a good idea at the time as they say.... pay peanuts...get stuff built by monkeys I guess? ;o)
Am now awaiting delivery of a Netgear item that is the other end of the price spectrum... lets see if that improves things :o) |
