Quite enjoyed this. Found it a bit too difficult to distinguish enemies from terrain, and an awful lot going on all at the same time!! But gameplay and weapons look excellent. Definitely one to get for me.

Looking forward to getting hold of this tomorrow. Spent a bit of time on the demo and while it's not as polished as COD4 there's that element of having to think about how you deal with people with vehicles. And on that note there's nowhere for those nasty camping sniper types to hide, not when you blow a hole in the wall they're hiding behind with a tank shell ;)

Anyone know if this has auto-aim? The demo doesn't.

Re: Battlefield: Bad company

There is an "aim assist" option in the game menu but it seems to be switched off by default. Either way, auto-aiming in a BF game.. come on now ;)

Heh, I know! ;) Very frowned upon in FPS circles, eh?
I have a mild disability bud. I'd be able to enjoy it more to be honest.
Cheers for the info.
:)

Even without any kind of disability I have problems getting to grips with FPS games on a console pad, certainly after years of keyboard/mouse action on the PC :) It's a great game though, hope you enjoy!

Got it today (traded COD4 & FIFA 08) only played a few games online as i've been having a session on the olympics game lol, love the huge MP maps though and the single player isn't bad but the first level seemd a tad repetitive.

Average game in my view - I like the vehicles though and as mentioned the online maps are good. Probably dont need to be s large really though as just means more running!

New game mode is out for this. IMO, it's totally crap! I've played 1 game of it, then I gave up. It came out today. You can download it off Marketplace. The point of the game is to capture as many flags as possible. There's 5 flags in total, and there's 2 teams trying to catch them all. To get a teams flag you keep shooting it.

I much prefer Gold Rush!

Just ordered this for £29.99 along with a 13mth Xbox live gold subscription for £25.87, so i hope it's worth it as i've not really played online in a year or so.

[edit]

I ordered xbox live gold at 10.47am and got the code emailed to me at 11.31am so 45mins isn't bad at all and at the price of £25.87 and on a sunday too, so well impressed!

Play.com are selling Xbox Live 12 Month Limited Edition Halo 3 Gold Membership (plus 1 Month Free) all for £25.86. You can use it just like any other gold subscription and you get a month free and also at a great price as well as the code emailed to you.
