I wonder if the police south of the border will have more time for this sort of thing if/when the current obessession with form filling and target hitting ceases?

Apparently according to on eofficer I heard on the radio, many of the parents involved were supportive of the police's actions and extremely surprised at what their kids were getting up to. I think too many parents take the easy option of simply turning a blind eye to what their offspring may be getting up to as opposed to taking the trouble to find out for themselves.

Thats just the latest in a string of raids after which people soon learn putting pictures and videos of your weapons/crimes/drugs and pot plants (in both senses of the word) onto the internet isn't the best idea in the world.

Very true I mean if you are planning to or have been up to anything thing illegal why post it on a public wensire such as bebo.

Why does it always seem to be bebo anyway :)

Thats probably got the highest number of kids using it, far more than Facebook or Myspace.
Although the ones on Bebo are angels compared to Faceparty, some of their users are definately at the very low end of the evolutionary scale (or creative design process if you are that way inclined)

Oh, get this. One teenager on the radio I just heard said it was an invasion of privacy for the Police to use Bebo in such a way. Huh? Its a public profile dimwit, you put that information on for anyone to see.

True but depends how you look at it for example I use myspace but I have all the privacy settings enabled so no can see my full profile unless I add them. By adding them I am allowing them to do so

The same way if I wish someone to no longer see my profile I can remove him or her from doing so

I’m assuming Bebo has something similar so if this kids profile is set to public it’s there for the world to see it's the kids own fault

If you watch any of the Road Wars, Traffic Cops, Nigh****ch etc. programs a lot of the time, especially in the more recent ones, you get the people who have normally just been caught

A: In a stolen motor
B: With drugs or stolen property on them
C: With outstanding warrants
D: All of the above

bleating about how its infringing their rights to be filmed and demanding the cameras are shut off.
