Biscuits Good For Business

According to This Article choice of biscuit can help/hinder a business deal.

For me A good old ginger nut would help, a lemon puff would be even nicer.

If I was offered a garibaldi things could get ugly.

I supply fresh fruit to my team meetings, rather than biscuits.

:tu: Jaffa Cake's a winner in my book and from the article can't agree more about the Jammie Dodgers, however: if the dodgers have been kept in one of those tins with the moisture absorbing thing in the lid it dries out the biscuit to a powdery mess which is nothing short of unforgivable. As for dunking being frowned upon there's nowt wrong with that where I come from.

All sat there munching bananas, huh :D

Anything not too hard, plenty of chocolate, no fruit. Not that I'm important enough to attend meetings - I'm just a grunt.

Chocolate hob nobs for me.

As for jaffa cakes... they're cakes, not biscuits! ;)

Unfortunately, as my waistline can attest to, I'll eat any kind of biscuit preferably half a packet at a time. :(

The article is about meetings with potential clients, rather than team meetings? :)

Nope it is one of those rubbish bits of 'research' that marketing departments do to either blow their own horn (viral marketing comes mind), or make their customers spend more. It being featured on the BBC's website is a marketeer's wet dream.

To not have Jaffa Cakes and Caramel Hob Nobs on a plate in a meeting room is criminal.:D

Yeah, it wasn't the substandard presentation, or unpreparedness of the representative that cost your company that big business deal, it was that they didn't offer potential clients the right biscuits. Whatever helps you sleep better at night.
