would i have to get a diffrent service provider .
im with virgin media at the mo .

well i cant get on to second life on my network now ,, but i can if i use wifi that is not mine , so i asume its my isp address they useing to firewall me

it will be your ip address you could try a proxy server. I would love to know how you got banned lol

haha ,,well i didnt ,,my stupid daughter did though ,and now i cant get onto my account as it says ,,sl cannot be accessed by this computer ,,but i got it to work when i went onto a wifi up my road as it were ,..lol
anyway how do i do a proxy link to my pc ,

If you are using a router, it could be worth checking it's configuration settings.
Many will allow you to change your router's MAC which, I understand, will usually result in you picking up a new IP.
(I'm guessing you need to make the change with the modem disconnected or powered down.)

try turning your router and cable modem off for a 24hours. and you might get a new ip address.

or try just by passing the router straight to the pc. see i use a private torrent site. that if your ip when you visit the site dont match the torrent clients ip details it will block you. and if im on my router or im plugged in direct to the cable modem then it appears to the site that im on different ip addresses i think, because i have to log back into the html website to acknowledge the change of address to get my torrents working. so the same trick might work for you. plug in modem direct for when you want to go on that site and turn the modem off and on to reset it
