basdfq, are you saying that you can't get your TV to work, or, that you can't get your TV to work with your V+?

Some further information would be helpful to allow people to help you.

The word 'now' implies that you have previously had HDMI working (on a different TV). Is this true?

Just what is 'comparan'?

That's good for you but, having asked for help here, it would be nice of you to advise the solution so others with similar issues may be helped.

Having read the v+ and TV manuals the problem was probably caused by getting the wrong make of lead.

Do you really mean the wrong make of lead and not the wrong type of lead? Can you explain further?
