Samsung Connections

Hi Everyone,

Really need some help off any "Experts" out there!
I have a Samsung LE37A456 TV
a Samsung Home Theatre system - HT - THQ25
and a SKY + box
The problem is - I cannot get any sound out of my Home cinema system when watching sky programmes
I have scart lead from TV Scart (1 RGB) to SKY Box TV Scart
HDMI from TV HDMI 2 to Home Theatre HDMI out
and Phono leads from SKY+ box to Home theatre 'Audio in'

That leaves as spares on the TV - 'SCART ( AV )' and 'HDMI ( 1 )'
on the HT - Scart ( AV )
on the SKY+ box - 'VCR Scart' ( No HDMI ports on the SKY BOX)

I can get surround sound if a disc is playing in the HT set but not with normal programmes

This is only since I had the SKY + fitted recently

hope somebodys got the knowhow - cos I haven't

Regards to all

IanH

hi, just browsing this forum and saw your post. just bought the same tv and a samsung surround sound ( not sure the same one) but had the same problem. got the tv to dvd via HDMI. phonos are from dvd to tv. select AUX 2 on dvd.should bring the home theatre to life. to get 5:1 on tv select MATRIX on remote (mode button) and should bring it all to life. done it tonight and sounds great. by no means an expert but seems to work for me. hope this works for you.
