ReFormat hard drive in V+ box

Is there any way of reformatting the hard drive on the V+ box.

I am having loads of stop/start stutter problems in the last couple of days when either watching tv or recordings, the box also has rebooted itself a couple of times.

I have done a cold boot, forced an update and done the "press home, hold play/pause, press V+ ch and it done the RFT" which I'm assuming is a quick reformat but not a full reformat.

Is it possible? or should I just chuck it out the window?

I think it's my wife's fault as it started when she was watching Katie and Peter the next chapter-which is enough to cock anything up!!!:D

cheers Nikesh,

tried that and it has gone through the motions and wiped my recordings etc, but I don't believe that it is a full format of the drive-is there a more thorough format??

My V+ STB is having loads of stop start problems when I'm watching recordings, the drive is quite noisy and I can hear it accessing continually-prob about to fall over!

I will try it again and see if it helps

thanks again

No problem. :)

If you continue to get problems with the box, I would give Virgin a call.
