Receiver Output Channel
I have no idea if this is the right place for a query, but no doubt I will be politely corrected if it isn't.
I have just installed a VCR on my system an inadvertently tuned it to Program 6 which was my cable program, so now I can't tune my tv into the cable receiver as I don't know its output channel number and searching for it using the tv installation program couldn't find it. All the cable pictures were snowy in the extreme, and that was after unplugging & re-plugging. I 'phoned Virgin helpline but the lady could not help. It's a General Instrument CFT 2100, 860 model. Can anyone help? |
Re: Receiver Output Channel
scart lead direct then use av1 on tv

Re: Receiver Output Channel
hi :welcome:
It looks like you should connect the 'Tv set' output on the CFT 2100 to the 'aerial in' socket on the VCR, then the 'tv out' on the vcr to the 'aerial' sockrt on the TV. You should be able to find the cable signal on the TV, then ??? - based on this manual http://broadband.motorola.com/noflas...356-001-99.pdf ---------- Post added at 18:11 ---------- Previous post was at 18:11 ---------- Quote:

Re: Receiver Output Channel
Thanks to both Scrubs & Homalone. Homealone is right in that the box doesn't have a scart socket. The gadgets are all connected up as per his message as I replicated the connections on my old, duff, VCR.
I think there must be something wrong with the cable receiver so I'll give Virgin a ring next week. By the way, what is the difference between a 'Post' and a 'thread' and what does 'afaik' mean please? |
