Wubi (Ubuntu)
Yesterday I installed Ubuntu using Wubi. I want to set up a wireless network on it so that I can use it when I'm not in my bedroom. I enter the account password to unlock options, but when I press the Authorise button the screen just shakes and doesn't unlock the options... Also the same with when I want to update the codecs for stuff also.
Any ideas? |
Re: Wubi (Ubuntu)
Try opening a terminal window and then trying to run an admin command and enter your password, eg
sudo ifconfig lan0 That might give an error about privilege access, in which you can either google or post the error. If the command works, eg gives your network info, it should have unlocked admin privileges for the next 10 mins, so you can try the network config gui. |

Re: Wubi (Ubuntu)
When you type /sbin/ifconfig on the terminal, what are the device names that come up?
