Flashing wireless light

Hi all
I have just installed a netgear wg642 wireless router.Everything works ok,even the wireless to my laptop. But i have noticed on the router the symbol that represents the wireless signal is flashing all the time(it is green) is this ok?
Thanks in advance.

Just out of interest.....

You have set up the wireless security settings on your router haven't you?

By that I mean: you've turned on the encryption, preferably WPA; you've changed the Admin password; you've enabled MAC filtering?

Oh.....and yes, you should be able to turn it off, leave it for a week or so, and then turn it back on without it all going pear-shaped :)

Re: Flashing wireless light

If you go into the router settings / Advanced / Wireless Settings / Untick Enable Wireless Router Radio / Apply.

To turn the wireless back on just put the tick back on.

Your wired internet connection will still work.
