Best UPGRADE from Athlon64 x2 3800+
Athlon64 x2 3800+ skt939 is the chip i have could anyone tell me if there is a worthwhile chip i could upgrade to just replacing the chip i have 3gig of ram. And have no experienced in overclocking motherboard is an ASUS AN8-SLI DELUXE revision 1013 so any advice would be gratefully accepted

no any upgrade would be marginal in benefits. Wait till you can do a rebuild as a new mobo cpu and ram will make a huge difference you would just be wasting your money buying a cpu. Overclocking also would only make slight difference. If it aint broke don't fix it

I used to have well still do have lying about AMD X2 4600 same motherboard, and 3GB DDR400 going into a build for the GF.
I moved all my other bits over with a budget of £500 to a Abit Ip35 pro, A Q6600, and 4GB Corsair XMS2. |
