Pipex oddity ....... Kinda wiered ......... Well Kinda Rip Off really
 

Been on ASDL since Noah was a lad ........ We are in a Virgin Cable live area, however when the contractors installed it a few years ago they left cables visible everywhere..... That wasn't a installation job they did ..... They just threw the wire outta the back of the van & connected the ends together :erm:

Anyways ...... My Pipex ADSL package is the "Up to" 8Mb type. however it only gives me 1.1/1.3Mb.... I can call Pipex & moan .... They will tell me that they have checked everything & all is ok ..... However they will get back to me....... Then Odd stuff happens!........ My ADSL all of a sudden goes up to 6.5Mb for 7 to 10 days then goes back to 1.1/1.3 Mb (They never call back by the way)

Odd that innit :dozey:

I'm going to change ISP's ........ Probably going to nip over to Be* or what ever ...... I was just wondering if anyone else had possessed ADSL rates too :o:

Pipex always have been pretty bad, for service outages & poor speeds, but now they are just taking the ....... 'Michael' Ohh they keep billing me for things they don't supply me with too ....... Quite astounding all round really......... But there ya go :shocked:

If your in a Virgin cabled street give them a go, on the whole they are faster than ADSL, also [check this though] I'm sure VM have a clause where if your not happy you can back out up to 30 days.

You must be joking........ The installation work done in my area is abysmal, it took them nine months to replace a demolished road side connections cabinet, I tied its doors up three times to keep the lil kids from tweaking its innards :erm:
