V+ Volume control ?

Hi there folks I have not been on for sometime, seems I have another problem re V+ trying to get sound volume on virgin remote to work, no code shown re virgins list so, spoke to virgin and nice indian lady advised me on pointing remote and pressing volume and mute at same time. Well after messing about ten minutes or more she advised me that they did not have a code for my set and it wasn't going to work. Well It's not the end of the world to have touse:dunce: tv set remote but it set me wondering what's going on,and before I make another dreaded call VM I'd try you nice forum people. My set LG lcd mod. mod- RZ-32LZ55 ( and this one has DVI con and I had to fit phono cable to get sound on set) I wonder does this is a compatibility problem? I would be most grateful if anyone can throw a sloution or other comments in the hat.
Cheers to you all,
Don Mac.

We have just had a new Samsung tv and we went through all the Samsung codes to sort the V+ volume out. I trawled through the forum - do a search and I found that

0079

worked for me!!!!!

Its worth trying because its a real pain needing two controls - change channel - tv control - change volume. Its made a huge difference using the one :)

HI FAIRY FAIRY,
Thanks your reply I had a rethink on this and decided to chance my arm by ringing VM again and was fortunate to be to dealt with by someone who spoke native english. It quickly became obvious that no code was available but it was possible that 0008 might work, this i duly tried and Hey Presto success. Take from me it's all about who your lucky enough to speak to(Indian call centre, nothanks) and understand. Any way may the force be with you, heard that somewhere probably got it wrong.
CHEERS Don Mac.
