fed up with vista
Hi everyone,
I am fed up with Vista, or at least I think I am. I have been used to XP, without any problems, even with Norton 360( no comments please). I now have a laptop running Vista Home premium, and I have been looking at hotels to book a holiday, but Windows won't let me view virtual tours. I have disabled several things in security regarding control x without any joy. I am a dumbo when it comes to computers, so can anyone offer advice on how to solve this problem without putting my computer at risk. Regards Flip |

Re: fed up with vista
Hi Zinglebarb,
Thanks for your suggestions, but I have logged on to Google flash player sites, and all I seem to see are, how to cure flash player problems. My computer knowledge is very basic, so I don't want cause myself any more problems. I've looked up what I want on my old computer. Thanks once again. Flip: |
Re: fed up with vista
What Zingle meant is find the flash installer site using google(i think).
Doing this myself took me to: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/downl...ShockwaveFlash |

Re: fed up with vista
Hi,

Re: fed up with vista
Are you running an account with admin powers ?
|
Re: fed up with vista
can you post a link to one of the problem sites
|
Re: fed up with vista
This may just be a case of the wrong button being hit at the wrong time, have you tried resetting IE7 security options back to default?
|
Re: fed up with vista
Hi Paul,
Security was set to default, , the computer is virtually out of the box, but I have since tried the lowest settings for Internet, local etc. Under these settings it still says "unsigned active x controls will not be downloaded " don't know if this is relevant. What's admin powers by the way. Flip |
