Wireless Tip for frequent disconnections

After setting up my new wireless router WTG624 v4 3 days ago I've not been able to stay connected with the laptop for more than 2 minutes, now its steady as a rock here's what worked for me.

Start
Control Panel
Administrative Tools
Services

Scroll to Wireless Zero Configuration and stop the service. Do this on the laptop not the main PC

Had the same issue with the Wireless Zero Config. Using the manufacturer's own control software did the trick.

Nice tip :tu:

Yep agreed. ;) I had to do this when I got my Belkin B5DUK045. My laptop appears to prefer the Belkin software to do the connection rather than the Windows built in stuff....:). I've permanatly disabled the Wireless Zero Configuration Service.
